In the USA, fire suppression systems are governed by the codes under the NFPA. Fire suppression systems are commonly used on heavy power equipment. Suppression systems use a combination of dry chemicals and/or wet agents to suppress equipment fires. Suppression systems have become a necessity in several industries as they help control damage and loss to equipment. Even if your local health inspector tells you that you are not required to have a fire suppression unit check with the fire marshal. If you choose not to install this unit and travel outside of your local area or to another state where having a fire suppression is mandatory, you will be prohibited to conduct your business until this is fixed. We suggest that a fire suppression unit is installed in a trailer with an open flame to help control damage and loss to equipment and surroundings in case of fire.
